Comedians born in Mparo

Mparo is a small locality in the Rukungiri District of southwestern Uganda, a green and hilly part of the country close to the region's lakes and national parks. Life there centres on farming and close-knit rural communities rather than urban activity. Uganda's comedy scene is based mainly in Kampala, but as live entertainment spreads and touring performers reach further afield, community gatherings and cultural events in rural districts like this one occasionally feature comic performance.

Comedians Alex Emix Muhangi and Anne Kansiime Kubiryaba both come from Mparo.
