Ariel Tarico
About Ariel Tarico
Ariel Tarico's comedy is mostly other people's voices. As a boy he copied the impressionists Nito Artaza and Juan Carlos Calabró, later trained as a broadcaster, and made his professional start as a humorist in 1999 on LT10 Radio Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Radio stayed the backbone of the career: El Show de la Noticia on La 100, Primera Mañana on Radio Mitre, Dady 790 alongside Dady Brieva, then Pan y Circo on Radio Rivadavia and Ahora Vengo on Aire de Santa Fe.
The gallery of voices crosses politics, sport and show business, from Mirtha Legrand and Diego Maradona to Nelson Castro, whom he turned into the character Nelson K on the television programme Bella tarde. On the news channel TN he is part of Solo una vuelta más and fronts his own slot, La semana de Tarico Fake News.
His stage work grew out of the same characters, beginning with the show Cazuela de Taricos, and the impressions have earned him several Martín Fierro awards along with the Premios Carlos, VOS and Estrella de Mar. The drawing hand behind his caricatures is a separate trade he keeps next to the voices.
