About Roberto Moldavsky
Roberto Gabriel Moldavsky (Buenos Aires, 12 September 1962) is an Argentine comedian, actor, writer, screenwriter, television presenter and film and television director. He was born into a family of Jewish origin. A follower of the humor of icons such as Alberto Olmedo, Enrique Pinti and Tato Bores, from a very young age Moldavsky stood out among his group of friends as the one who made everyone laugh with the jokes he told. He inherited his passion for humor from his father Jacobo Moldavsky. He worked until the age of fifty in a shop in the Once neighborhood as a clothing salesman, until he enrolled in a stand-up course. He also worked at the Embassy of Israel, a country where he lived for a decade.
He was invited to Fernando Bravo's radio program, where he was scheduled to do a monologue about the Jewish New Year for seven minutes; he ended up making those present and the listeners laugh for half an hour. He later met the producer Gustavo Yankelevich, who motivated him to make his humor more professional. He began to work fully not only in theater but also in television, in programs such as Susana Gimenez, Morfi, todos a la mesa and Por el mundo. In 2020 he was part of the reality MasterChef Celebrity Argentina.
In 2019, he published his first book, titled Goy Friendly, a kind of biography of the Argentine comedian, under Editorial Planeta. With his show in the 2019-2020 season, Moldavsky Reperfilado, he reached the top 5 of the theatrical box office in Mar del Plata. He made his film debut as a protagonist alongside Jorgelina Aruzzi in the film Ex casados (2021), directed by Sabrina Farji. In 2017, he was given a Premio Martin Fierro for best comedic work for his participation in the program Morfi, todos a la mesa.
