About Jérôme de Warzée
Before comedy, Jerome de Warzee worked as a driving instructor and won the Belgian Scrabble championship. His stage breakthrough was the one-man show La bombe textuelle, and a later solo show, The Chauve Must Go On, opened at the Koeks Theatre.
On radio he built a following in French-speaking Belgium with Un Cactus dans le Waterzooi, a humorous column that also came out in book form with illustrations by Kanar. The cactus idea then moved to RTBF television, first as Tele-Cactus, a weekly slot inside 7 a la une, and then as Le Grand Cactus, a satirical parody of the news that he created and co-hosts with Adrien Devyver. Other television appearances include Signe taloche, Plies en 4 and Le Belge comme Eddy.
His stage show Va au diable! tells the history of Satan from Genesis to social media, combining stand-up with political satire.
