Eduardo Sterblitch

Luiz Eduardo Sterblitch Paschoa (Rio de Janeiro, 15 January 1987) is a Brazilian actor, comedian, singer, screenwriter and presenter. He is known for his versatility and the wide variety of characters he plays, having established himself nationally in comedy and becoming one of the major names of his generation. Sterblitch is of Jewish origin on his mother's side. He began studying theater at the age of three, when his mother, Jacqueline Sterblitch, enrolled him in a course at the Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim, in Ipanema. He cited influences including Antonin Artaud, Samuel Beckett, Eugene Ionesco, Jim Carrey, Mr. Bean, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Monty Python, Andy Kaufman and others. At the age of 8, he entered the Teatro O Tablado, where his great-aunt was director.

Sterblitch gained notoriety by joining the cast of the comedy program Panico na TV, broadcast on RedeTV!, and later Panico na Band, on TV Bandeirantes, becoming well known for characters such as Cesar Polvilho, Freddie Mercury Prateado (a satire of singer Freddie Mercury) and later as Poderoso Castiga. He was part of the cast of Panico for eight years. In 2012, he made his film debut with the comedy Os Penetras. He began to distance himself from Panico in August 2015 over a segment featuring the character "Africano", and in April he left the program for good.

In 2017, he moved to Rede Globo. In 2019, he starred in the comedy series Shippados alongside Tata Werneck, playing Enzo, and joined the cast of the remake of Eramos Seis, playing Zeca. In 2020, he debuted his late-night talk show Sterblitch Nao Tem Um Talk Show: o Talk Show. He was one of the jurors of The Masked Singer Brasil. He surprised audiences by acting in the drama series Os Outros (2023-24), playing the violent Sergio Nogueira, a role that earned him praise from the public and critics. In film, he portrayed the young presenter Chacrinha in Chacrinha: O Velho Guerreiro (2018). Between October and December 2023 he appeared in the musical Beetlejuice - o Musical, o Musical, o Musical, in Rio de Janeiro, and from February to April 2024 at the Teatro Liberdade in Sao Paulo, playing the title character.
