Emerson Ceará

Emerson Ceara is a Brazilian stand-up comedian who grew up in Nova Olinda, in the Cariri region of Ceara. He left home around age 18 or 19, initially heading to Londrina in Parana, before settling in Curitiba, where in 2010 he took a job as a waiter at the newly opened Curitiba Comedy Club. After watching a stand-up set by Danilo Gentili, he decided to try comedy himself, performing short sets after his shifts before eventually leaving the bar job to pursue stand-up full time. His television credits include the cast of Saco de Risadas and a season on Domingao do Faustao, where he competed in the talent segment Quem Chega La in 2014. He has toured Brazil and Europe, including dates in Lisbon and Porto, with solo shows such as O Retorno da Lenda, Se Acalme, Oxi Foi E, A Esmo, A Febre da Estrada and Sem Freio, and released his first stand-up DVD in Curitiba.
