Gessica Kayane Rocha de Vasconcelos

Gessica Kayane Rocha de Vasconcelos, better known as Gkay (also stylized as GKay; born in Solânea on 3 December 1992), is a Brazilian digital influencer, actress and businesswoman. She was born in the interior of Paraíba and got the nickname "Gkay" from a friend who found her name ugly and too long. Coming from a simple family, she dreamed of working with art, and enrolled in two university courses at the same time, Relações Internacionais at the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) and Direito at a private institution, but gave up both to work with the internet. Before that, she worked as a saleswoman, receptionist and flyer distributor. On 31 December 2018 her father died of a sudden heart attack in Fernando de Noronha, and in 2019 she took an acting course at the Escola de Atores Wolf Maya.

Gkay was always encouraged by acquaintances to record videos for the internet because of her good-humored personality, but did not know how until 2013, when her brother showed her a video of Whindersson Nunes. With borrowed equipment and the help of a friend who edited her videos for free, she began on YouTube and got her first advertising jobs with stores from Paraíba. She decided to dedicate herself fully to the internet and humor in 2016, and the following year launched her first stand-up tour across several states of the Nordeste. Her growing number of followers and friendships with famous personalities such as Whindersson, Luísa Sonza, Carlinhos Maia and Anitta made her an increasingly notable name. In 2018 she recorded the song "Eu Vou Tu Vai" with Whindersson, Carlinhos and Tirullipa, which won the Prêmio UOL Hit do Verão 2019.

In 2019 she was invited by Nunes to take part in Os Roni, his new humor program on Multishow, playing Jennyfer, and in December became the first Brazilian to reach 1 billion impressions on Instagram. In 2020 she recorded her first film for Netflix, Carnaval, released on 2 June 2021. In novembro de 2021 she released the film Detetive Madeinusa with Tirullipa on Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix announced a Christmas film, Um Natal Cheio de Graça, released on 30 November 2022. In março de 2022 she made her cinema debut playing the stylist Laura Lipsync in Me Tira da Mira, and in agosto de 2022 debuted as Xandra Zannarah in the comedy series Nada Suspeitos for Netflix. In 2025 she was elected one of the 100 greatest Paraibanas of all time, ranking 99th.
