Júlio Cocielo

Julio Cesar Pinto Cocielo, known professionally as Julio Cocielo, is a Brazilian comedian, actor, singer and digital influencer born on May 25, 1993, in Osasco, in the greater Sao Paulo metropolitan area. He grew up in a working-class family and, at age 18, encouraged by friends who saw a natural talent for humor in him, decided to start posting vlogs online. In 2011 he created Canal Canalha on YouTube, sharing personal stories, funny situations with friends and everyday observations in a vlog format. Canal Canalha became one of the fastest-growing humor channels in Brazil, and Cocielo went on to become one of the most influential figures in the first wave of Brazilian YouTuber-comedians, alongside names like Whindersson Nunes, Felipe Castanhari and Cauê Moura.

Some of the videos that propelled Canal Canalha included 10 Mandamentos do Rei do Baile Funk and As Inadequadas Girias, which became the channel's most-watched video with over 26 million views. Cocielo later created a second channel under his own name, Julio Cocielo, where he launched popular series including Copa Cirrose, a soccer betting and chaos series that brought together influencers like Felipe Castanhari, Cauê Moura, Christian Figueiredo and Lucas Inutilismo. As of late 2024 his main channel surpassed 21 million subscribers, making it one of the largest Brazilian YouTube channels, and his combined channels exceed 29 million subscribers. In 2017 he toured Brazilian theaters with the live show Talvez Voce se Arrependa, and in 2021 he hosted Galera Esporte Clube on RedeTV! before joining the cast of the variety program Encrenca, which he left in 2022. His comedy style is rooted in observational vlogs, soccer culture and chaotic celebrity-driven challenges, and his viral catchphrases and reactions have generated extensive meme content across Brazilian internet culture.

Julio Cocielo's main content is published on his YouTube channels Canal Canalha (active since 2011) and Julio Cocielo, which together total tens of millions of subscribers. He posts daily short-form content and lifestyle updates on Instagram (@cocielo) and X (Twitter). Past TV credits include Galera Esporte Clube on RedeTV! (2021) and Encrenca (2021-2022). Live theater dates and special projects are announced through his social media channels.
