About Luca Mendes
Luca Mendes is a Brazilian stand-up comedian born in the state of Rio Grande do Sul who moved to São Paulo in 2015 to start his comedy career. He tours regularly at Brazil's leading comedy clubs and theaters with his solo show "Socialmente Confuso," which has been on the road since 2015 and whose full special is available on YouTube with close to 200,000 views; the show is built around relatable, humorous scenes from his everyday life. He has appeared on Comedy Central Stand Up as well as on the television programs Programa do Porchat and The Noite with Danilo Gentili. In 2018 he joined JOKES, a comedy group created by comedian Thiago Ventura that performs in theaters across Brazil and whose YouTube channel has more than 500,000 subscribers. Off stage, Mendes underwent a major personal transformation, losing 50 kilograms through diet and exercise, and now trains and runs daily.
