Renata Said

Renata Said is a Brazilian stand-up comedian, producer and screenwriter trained as an advertising professional. At age 36 she decided to radically change careers and take a chance on stand-up comedy, performing for the first time in 2018, and has continued ever since. She became a fixed cast member at Comedians Club, the largest venue dedicated to the genre in São Paulo, as well as at Hillarius and Clube do Minhoca. Early in her career she gained attention reaching the final of the 2018 Campeonato Itubaina de Humor, produced by the Risadaria comedy festival, appeared on The Noite with Danilo Gentili, and performed as part of the Risorama lineup in Paulinia. In 2022 she launched her first solo show, "Renata Said Versao Estendida," which toured Brazil's leading comedy venues, and she has since developed a newer solo show, "Não Tão Jovem Mística," combining comedy with tarot. Said is the creator and manager of Dopamina, a weekly all-women stand-up comedy showcase in São Paulo regarded as one of the most relevant women-led comedy projects in Brazil; she is also a tarot reader and podcaster.
