About Thiago Ventura
Thiago Ventura is a Brazilian stand-up comedian born on December 20, 1989, in Taboao da Serra, a city in greater Sao Paulo. He left his job as a bank clerk in 2010 to pursue comedy full time. His material draws on stories from his childhood in the urban periphery of Sao Paulo and everyday life experiences shared by working-class Brazilians. Thiago Ventura's first solo show was "Isso e Tudo Que Eu Tenho." His solo show "So Agradece" won Best Text at the Humor Award in 2019. That same year, he appeared in Netflix's international showcase "Comedians of the World." His Netflix special "POKAS" (2020), recorded at Teatro Liberdade in Sao Paulo, became a cultural landmark in Brazilian comedy - presenting his sharp peripheral perspective on social class, urban life and everyday contradictions with high-energy delivery. He is also a founding member of the "4 Amigos" touring group alongside Afonso Padilha, Dihh Lopes and Marcio Donato, which continues to sell out theaters across Brazil in 2025-2026. His new solo show "Lado a Lado" launched in 2026 and is currently touring.
Thiago Ventura performs regularly throughout Brazil with both his solo show "Lado a Lado" (2026) and as part of the "4 Amigos" group tour. In 2026, confirmed dates include Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Guarulhos, Brasilia and Osasco, among other cities. Tickets are available through major Brazilian platforms including Eventim and IngressoDigital. His Netflix special "POKAS" is available to stream worldwide on Netflix.
