About Carisa Hendrix
Carisa Hendrix performs almost entirely in character. Lucy Darling carries herself like a Golden Age socialite, a manner drawn in part from Dorothy Parker, and the tricks are timed the way jokes are timed, with the line after the reveal doing as much work as the reveal.
The act lives on residencies rather than single bookings: artist in residence at the Chicago Magic Lounge, regular slots at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, an appearance on Penn and Teller, Fool Us. She has taken an award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Best Comedy Show at the Melbourne Magic Festival and Stage Magician of the Year from the Academy of Magical Arts. Her fire work sits alongside all of it and brought her a Guinness world record for torch teething.
