About Nathan Fielder
Nathan Joseph Fielder (born May 12, 1983) is a Canadian comedian known for his awkward persona and for creating works that blur the line between reality and fiction. As a teenager he was involved in his school's improv group, which featured fellow comedian Seth Rogen, and he studied business at the University of Victoria before enrolling in Humber College's Comedy Program. He began his career as a correspondent for CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes and later co-created and directed the Comedy Central parody reality show Nathan for You (2013-2017). His subsequent projects include the HBO docu-comedy The Rehearsal, the Showtime scripted series The Curse co-created with Benny Safdie and starring Emma Stone, and executive producing How To with John Wilson. His accolades include an Independent Spirit Award and a WGA Award, as well as three Primetime Emmy nominations, and in 2023 he was featured on Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world. In 2025 he became an FAA certified commercial pilot.
