About Simon Leblanc
Simon Leblanc was born in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts on the Gaspesie peninsula, and his career rests on full-length solo shows made for Quebec audiences. The industry noticed him before he had one: in 2014 the Gala Les Olivier gave him its Decouverte prize, the award reserved for a newcomer.
His first show, Tout court, arrived in 2016 and brought a shared Olivier for writers of the year, split with his co-writer Olivier Thivierge. Malade, from 2019, took the prize for comedy show of the year at the Felix awards. He kept a steady rhythm after that with Deja and then Present s'arrete, a tour whose dates at the Amphitheatre Cogeco sold quickly.
