About Claudio Michaux
Claudio Michaux is a Chilean stand-up comedian born in Puente Alto and trained as a photographer. He first went on stage at an open-mic night at the now-closed ExcĂ©ntrico Bar on June 13, 2017, when he was 21 years old, after learning about open-mic comedy while studying photography. He went on to win the TVN talent competition "La Huincha," a victory that earned him a slot performing his routine at the Festival del Huaso de OlmuĂ© in 2020. His material draws on his own life, including moving from a stigmatized Puente Alto background to studying in the wealthier Las Condes district, delivered in a style focused on everyday reality rather than overt politics. He joined YouTube in 2018 and uploaded his first public video in May 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he now co-hosts the podcasts "No sĂ© si fue tan asĂ" and "Separado con Hijos" in addition to his stand-up shows.
