About Fabrizio Copano

Fabrizio Antonio Copano Vera (Santiago, 6 March 1989) is a Chilean actor, comedian, writer, radio and television presenter and columnist, based in the United States since late 2016. In parallel, he has developed a career as a stand-up comedian, performing live in bars, universities and theaters in his native Chile and abroad. He is the second of three siblings and the younger brother of Chilean television presenter Nicolás Copano, and completed his secondary studies at the Colegio Alcántara de la Cordillera.

He began his career at the age of 13, writing scripts for his brother's television segments and later humorous columns for the website zona.cl of the newspaper El Mercurio. On television he worked as a writer and reporter for the segment "El Informal" of the program REC on Chilevisión, until early 2006. That year he became a writer for the Chilean version of Duro de domar, where he played the character K-sita. He joined radio FM Hit as host of the program Marea Hit from 5 March 2007, and in May of that year, together with his brother Nicolás, launched the program Canal Copano on the cable channel Vía X. In January 2009 he joined the team of El club de la comedia on Chilevisión, where he remained until 2014. He made his film debut with a small role in Qué pena tu vida and starred in and wrote the script for Barrio universitario, later continuing in similar roles in Héroes: el asilo contra la opresión. In 2012 he hosted El late con Fabrizio Copano, a late-show comedy program.

He established himself as a permanent face on Comedy Central Latinoamérica, performing stand-up in 2012 at the teatro Joy Slava in Madrid as the only Chilean representative at the festival Central de Cómicos Internacional. In 2014 he recorded a 20-minute routine for Comedy Central Latinoamérica and a third performance in 2016 in México. On 25 February 2017 he performed on the final night of the LVIII Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar, winning his first two Gaviotas de Plata and Oro, and in September of that year released the Netflix comedy special "Solo pienso en mi," recorded at the Teatro Maipo in Buenos Aires. He has been based in Los Ángeles, California, since 2017. On 19 January 2023 he performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden, becoming the first Chilean comedian to appear on a U.S. television program, and on 24 February 2023 he performed for a second time at the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar, again winning the gaviota de plata and de oro. In 2025 he created Fabuloso Media, a digital platform for comedy and cultural content, with his partner Humberto Sichel.
