About Lucas Espinoza
Lucas Espinoza came to comedy through filmmaking. He studied audiovisual communication at Duoc UC, later took a screenwriting diploma at the Universidad de Chile, and in 2012 launched the YouTube channel Proyecto Lupa. That channel produced Tiempos mozos, a web series he directed, wrote and starred in, with Ignacio Socías in the cast.
His television break came in 2014, when he joined the final season of El club de la comedia on Chilevisión, alongside Ignacio Socías, Josefina Nast, Alto Yoyo and Laura Prieto. He then worked on television projects at Canal 13 under the direction of Sergio Nakasone, and in 2025 he was part of Top Chef VIP Chile.
Much of his output comes from a small circle of regular collaborators. With Rodrigo Vásquez he made the web series Vásquez and Talentos frustrados, plus the radio show Tavelli & Comedy on Niu Radio, while his partnership with Socías produced the programme Lucas y Socías. On the film side he played Martín in La isla de los pingüinos and Jano in Jano & Dafi.
