About Pastor Rocha
Pastor Rocha is a comedic persona created by Santiago Endara, an Ecuadorian-born comedian who has lived in Chile since age 9 and has been performing comedy for about seven years. Through the character, Endara builds satirical routines about practices in the evangelical world, addressing subjects such as tithing, literal interpretations of the Bible, dress codes in congregations and the role of religious leaders, aiming to question rather than mock the faith itself. The character grew out of viral social media sketches before moving to the stage, with ticketed live shows including a performance at the Gran Arena Monticello in April and a date at Sunset in Arica in May. In December he received the Best Comedian award at the Copihue de Oro awards. Endara made his debut as Pastor Rocha at the Festival de Vina del Mar in February 2026, closing out the festival's comedy nights with a routine mixing theatrical presentation and stand-up material about faith and Chilean politics, and won both the Gaviota de Plata and Gaviota de Oro.
