Chimuelo

Chimuelo, whose real name is Sergio Castro, is a Colombian stand-up comedian associated with the comedy scene of the Llano (eastern plains) region. Although born in Bogota, he identifies strongly with Villavicencio, in the department of Meta, the city he credits with shaping his artistic identity and where he is regarded as one of the region's most recognized comedians at the national and international level.

He performed stand-up for the first time roughly six years ago at a comedy workshop organized in Villavicencio by the comedians Pipe Garcia and Catalina Guzman, held at the Parque de Los Fundadores. The positive reception from that first set gave him the confidence to continue in comedy. His material is built largely on personal anecdotes and everyday stories, delivered without a fictional stage character, and often draws on observations about daily life and society.

Chimuelo performs regularly in Bogota and is known for developing new material on a weekly basis. He has been part of the cast of the improvisational comedy format "Con Animo de Ofender" and appears in the "Get Up" stand-up series. He maintains an active social media presence under the handle @yosoychimuelo across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
