About Jiří Charvát
Jiří Charvát reached stand-up by way of slam poetry. He then represented the country at the European championship in Belgium. In between he spent six semesters at an improvisation school, and he later taught improvisation himself.
His stand-up years began in 2017, when he co-founded Stand-up Factory with Martin Jirman; MALL.TV later produced a programme of the same name. From 2018 he has performed on Comedy Club on Paramount Network, and from 2022 he has also been part of Underground Comedy.
Writing is the other half of his work. He studied journalism, worked as a copywriter at Seznam.cz from 2012, and has published prose, comics and poetry, among them the collection Zase je dneska. He also gives comedy lectures shaped around the theme of a conference or a company event.
