About James Long
James Long, billed as El Sukitruki, began in Ecuadorian television behind the scenes, writing scripts for the parody show Sin animo de ofender on SiTV. He later stepped in front of the camera on PHD: La Lista Negra, the TC Television programme hosted by Francisco Pinoargotti, where he was credited as El Manaye.
His best-known stand-up piece, La Guerra de las Hayacas, is built on comic redubbing of Star Wars scenes and clips from television series, and he performs it in bars and restaurants. Acting runs alongside the comedy: he played El Ingeniero in La Trinity on Ecuavisa, appeared in 3 familias, and made his film debut as Comisario Malovich in Medardo, directed by Nitsy Grau. Other roles include Franco Gianetti in the TC Television series Antuca me enamora and a part in La fiesta del gol.
