Arnaud Demanche
About Arnaud Demanche
The media first noticed Arnaud Demanche in 2004, when he passed himself off as Jacques Chirac on the internet with a fake blog in the president's name. Karl Zéro spotted him and he began as a writer at Canal+. With Frédéric Royer and Stéphane Rose he then wrote and hosted the Gérard ceremonies on Paris Première for seven years, handing out Gérards for cinema, politics and television, until he left the team in April 2013.
A good share of his output has gone into other people's mouths. He has written for Nicolas Canteloup and Stéphane Rousseau, worked on Le Vrai Journal, and shared writing credits with Philippe Caverivière. On radio and television he has been a columnist on Les Affranchis on France Inter, Pop Com on Canal+ and Touche pas à mon poste on D8, and in August 2022 he became a daily columnist on Apolline Matin on RMC.
His own stage work began with his first one-man show, Arnaud Demanche (Le Nouveau Schwarzenegger), which opened in April 2015; a second, Blanc & Hétéro, followed in 2018. He has also stepped behind the camera, directing Being Homer Simpson with Philippe Peythieu and Véronique Augereau, and he played an LCI journalist in Philippe Lacheau's Alibi.com 2.
