About Victor-Artus Solaro

Artus, born Victor-Artus Solaro on August 17, 1987, in Le Chesnay (Yvelines), is a French stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter and film director. He spent his childhood moving between France and Switzerland before settling in Laverune, a village near Montpellier in the Languedoc region. The son of an IT executive and a saleswoman, he first trained as a cook before veering toward dramatic arts, studying for several months at the Cours Florent acting school in Paris. He broke through in 2011 by joining the France 2 show On ne demande qu'a en rire, which launched his career.

Artus's first one-man show "Artus de A a S" (2012-2013) toured France with autobiographical material organised through the letters of his stage name, from A as animator (he once worked as a Club Mediterranee entertainer at Alpe d'Huez) to S as show business. His second show "Saignant a point" was released in 2015. After several years on French television and radio he returned to stand-up with "Artus One Man Show" from 2023, a show built on physical, self-deprecating, observational material that has played the Olympia and toured across France. The show culminates in a historic run on March 27 and 28, 2026 at Paris La Defense Arena, where Artus becomes the first comedian to headline Europe's largest indoor venue. In 2024 he wrote, directed and starred in his first feature film "Un p'tit truc en plus", casting eleven actors with intellectual disabilities alongside himself; the film became a cinematic phenomenon with around 10.8 million admissions in France, transforming Artus into one of the most prominent French comedy figures of his generation.

Artus is touring "Artus One Man Show" across French Zeniths and arenas during the 2025-2026 season, with two historic performances at Paris La Defense Arena on March 27 and 28, 2026. His film "Un p'tit truc en plus" (2024) is available on French streaming platforms.
