About Augustin Shackelpopoulos
Augustin Shackelpopoulos gave up university literature studies to try his material at open mic nights in Paris. In 2011 he teamed up with Sacha Béhar, and the duo got an early television outing on Repérages on Canal+ in 2012. His humour leans towards the surreal and the black.
The partnership found its natural home online. Fiche de Lecture, which ran from 2014 to 2017, borrowed the look of booktube videos and filled it with absurd book reports; a collection of those pieces came out in print from Marabout in 2017. In 2015 the pair opened the YouTube channel DAVA, first to post their sets at the Gaîté Lyrique and then for solo and joint videos such as URDCUC, Talis Qualis and Tybalt, along with longer films like Triade MacDonald and Chombo Loco. DAVA is also the name of their stage show, which has toured France and Belgium.
Away from the duo he hosted Vos Gueules Les Mouettes on Radio PiiAF between 2013 and 2016 and later co-hosted Numérico. On screen he has appeared in Scènes de ménage and Chamouxland and in the films Impionçable, L'Esprit Coubertin and Un monde merveilleux.
