About Bernard Mabille (humoriste)
Bernard Mabille reached comedy by way of journalism. Born in Bois-Colombes in 1947, he was writing theatre reviews for the Quotidien de Paris in 1974, and in 1979 Thierry Le Luron took him on to help write his stage shows, which set him up as a comedy writer for others as well as for himself. Much later, between 2007 and 2011, he worked with Anne Roumanoff on the comic chronicles for Michel Drucker's television show.
Radio is where most listeners know him from. He has been a regular on RTL's Les Grosses Têtes since 1985, with a few breaks, and from 2014 to 2016 he had his own weekend slot, Un rien Mabille. On television he joined La Revue de presse des Deux Ânes on Paris Première in 2007.
His solo shows carry titles that announce the tone: Bernard Mabille sur mesure, Bernard Mabille de la tête aux pieds, 30 ans d'insolence!, Fini de jouer, Loin des cons and Miraculé. In 2015 he also published the book Peut-être gras mais jamais lourd.
