About David Castello-Lopes

David Castello-Lopes, born in Paris in 1981, came to comedy from journalism and art history, and his humour keeps the manner of a very serious reporter looking into very small things: Post-its, a piece of emmental, the meaning of GDP. He writes in French and delivers it deadpan.

Television and online media have carried most of this work. At Canal+ he presented the Chiffroscope with the illustrator Leonard Cohen and wrote and directed his own segment, Depuis quand. He worked at Le Gorafi from 2014, directed the Intéressant segment for the magazine 28 minutes, and presented the monthly Suisse ? slot on the humorous news magazine 52 minutes.

In September 2022 he began Small Talk, a series made for Konbini, and on France Inter he has presented Mousse Mousse, a general knowledge game. His first one-man show, Authentique, moved the same ironic voice from the screen to the stage.
