Jean-Claude Muaka

Jean-Claude Muaka is a French comedian and actor, born on 14 November 1986 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. His family, of Congolese origin, moved to Vaux-le-Penil in Seine-et-Marne when he was seven. He studied theatre at Sorbonne-Nouvelle, where he met director Eric Checco, who cast him as Othello at the 2008 Avignon Festival, launching his professional stage career.

After early success in classical theatre, Muaka turned to solo comedy, premiering his first one-man show, "One Man Costaud," at the Theatre Apollo and the Palais des Glaces in Paris in 2015. That year he also created Coach Muaka, a recurring comic character who comments on Paris Saint-Germain and French national team football matches on social media and on stage. In 2016 he joined the touring cast of the televised Jamel Comedy Club. His screen credits include the series "Fais pas ci, fais pas ca," the films "Neuilly sa mere, sa mere!" and "Sous le meme toit," and, since 2023, a recurring role as Mo, cousin of the lead character, in Jean-Pascal Zadi's series "En place."
