Marina Cars

Marina Cars is a French stand-up comedian and character actress from Charleville-Mezieres in the Ardennes region of north-eastern France. She became known on social media with viral videos in which she performs 1990s hit songs in her car, accumulating millions of views and 158K Instagram followers. After moving to Paris to attend film school, she tested her material on Parisian open mics including Paname Art Cafe and transitioned to full stand-up shows.

Marina Cars built her audience on Instagram and TikTok with comic karaoke-in-the-car videos that went viral in France. On stage she developed her own one-woman show 'Nenettes' produced by L'Independante Productions, which transposes her social media sketches into full-length theatre. The show's signature is the generational clash between Melanie, a sharp-tongued young woman, and Jenyfer, an over-zealous fifty-something. She has played the Paname Art Cafe in Paris and the Theatre 100 Noms in Nantes, and was interviewed by Journal Ventilo and the Theatre 100 Noms blog about her writing process. Her audience profile mirrors her online community: women of all ages and a large gay male following.

Marina Cars is on tour in France with her one-woman show 'Nenettes', with confirmed dates at the Theatre 100 Noms in Nantes, L'Art Du in Marseille and the Paname Art Cafe in Paris, plus regional venues listed by BilletReduc, PasseTonBillet and Fnac Spectacles. She regularly releases new character sketches on Instagram (158K followers) and TikTok between live dates.
