Redouanne Harjane

Redouanne Harjane is a French stand-up comedian, musician and actor born on February 6, 1984, in Metz. From childhood he showed an intense passion for theatre, music and literature, leaving school at fourteen to train as an actor at the National Conservatory of Metz and to study jazz and several instruments at the International Academy of Music. His work blends absurdist stand-up, melancholic poetry and live music, and it has earned him both wide popular reach through the Jamel Comedy Club and serious critical recognition in French cinema.

Harjane moved to Paris in 2004 and continued his training at Cours Simon. In June 2009 he created his first one-man show, Le Diable et la Tempete, performed at the Theatre de Dix Heures in Paris after he was spotted at the Nantes Festival following a trip to India. The show set the template for his universe: absurd humor, existential reflection and musical punctuation, sitting somewhere between stand-up, cabaret and dark poetry. In 2010 he was discovered by Jamel Debbouze at the Jamel Comedy Club, who decided to produce him and take him on tour across France. In September 2012 he joined the team of the Canal+ talk show Le Supplement, and later the radio program On va tous y passer. By the end of 2017, after filling La Cigale in Paris and playing more than 60 dates, he returned with a new show, Redouanne est Harjane. In parallel he has built an acting career, including a lead role as Mo in the 2017 film M by Sara Forestier, for which he was nominated for the 2018 Cesar Award for Best Male Newcomer. He belongs to the family of French stage performers who transform the stand-up stage into a space of total freedom, where black humor meets musical poetry.

Redouanne Harjane regularly tours France with his stand-up and musical comedy shows, with frequent Paris dates at venues such as La Cigale, Theatre de Dix Heures and other comedy clubs. His Jamel Comedy Club performances and earlier stand-up sets are available on the JCC YouTube channel and on Spotify under his name. Tickets for live dates can be found via Fnac Spectacles, Billetreduc and the venues' own ticketing.
