About Régis Mailhot

Régis Mailhot grew up in Nantes and made his name in the short, scripted satirical column that French radio calls a chronique. From 2006 to 2011 he was one of the regular voices of Le Fou du roi on France Inter, hosted by Stéphane Bern. The move to RTL in 2011 brought a daily morning slot of his own, La Marque du Mailhot, then the Sunday column Le petit jury, and he stayed beside Bern on À la bonne heure until 2020. After that he joined Anne Roumanoff on Europe 1, and during the presidential campaign that ended in 2022 he ran Allô Mailhot on France Bleu.

Television used the same skill in shorter bursts: Les Agités du bocal on France 4, a column on Vivement dimanche on France 2, and La Revue de presse on Paris Première, where he also took part in Le grand bye bye.

The solo shows carry the news into the theatre. Le Rapport Mailhot opened the series in 2010, followed by Reprise des hostilités, Citoyen, Les Nouvelles Pigeonnades and Les Nouveaux Ridicules, which ran until 2025. He has also published three books: Faut-il ? Doit-on ?, Chroniques d'un quinquennat and Reprise des hostilités.
