About Roman Doduik

Roman Doduik, born on 2 October 1998 in Cachan (Val-de-Marne), is a French humorist, comedian, columnist, web video creator and influencer. Born to a mother, Veronique, who was a chorister working at the Cinematheque francaise, and a father working in event organization for company committees, he grew up in Cachan as the youngest of three boys. From the age of 11 he had to follow a growth hormone treatment because of his height, which delayed his puberty, and during his schooling he was the victim of repeated harassment. From the age of 12 to 19 he took theatre classes at the conservatory of Kremlin-Bicetre. At 15, while on a school internship at the Palais des Glaces, he discovered the world of stand-up and managed to perform his first stage appearance as the opening act for a show by Caroline Vigneaux.

He wrote his first one-man-show, La Revanche des crevettes, at the age of 17. Turning away from his philosophy studies, supported by his parents, he devoted himself to performing in cafe-theatres and comedy clubs such as the theatre Trevise or that of the Blancs-Manteaux, up to a first appearance at the festival d'Avignon. The first lockdown linked to the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020 interrupted his performances, and Doduik decided to post videos daily on TikTok aimed at a teenage audience, covering themes such as crushes, parents or the friend zone. The success was significant, reaching 500,000 subscribers by May. From 2021, he returned to the stage with a show titled ADOrable, performing notably at the Montreux Comedy Festival and the Festival d'Avignon, where he received a palme du Rire et de la Jeunesse.

His growing fame allowed him to diversify his career, with his own web-series Frerot, a partnership with the city hall of Lyon, advertising for Gucci, editorials for Konbini and a structure named Storyz for young content creators. In 2023 he made regular audiovisual appearances, including on Les Douze Coups de midi on TF1, Fort Boyard on France 2 and as a columnist on France Inter in the program Zoom Zoom Zen, and at the end of the year became a member of Les Grosses Tetes on RTL. In early 2024, with 2.8 million subscribers on TikTok, he took part in season 13 of Danse avec les stars on TF1 alongside dancer Ana Riera, and that same year appeared in the film Ducobu passe au vert. In 2025 he became a patron of the association E-Enfance.
