About Dimitris Dimopoulos
Dimitris Dimopoulos, born in Piraeus in 1976, belongs to the first wave of Greek stand-up: he started performing in 1996 as a member of one of the earliest stand-up teams in Athens. He trained at the Iasmos Drama School, and acting on stage and screen, including voice work, has run next to the comedy ever since.
He writes his own stand-up monologues and has taken them on tour outside Greece. His theatre work goes well beyond comedy, since he also directs productions, writes libretti and translates, and his languages include English, German, Spanish and Russian.
