About Dionysis Atzarakis
Dionysis Atzarakis sits between stand-up and television presenting, and his humour leans on pop culture: films, television and the shared references of a generation that grew up on them. He writes and directs as well as performing, which shows in how tightly the material is put together.
He studied communication and media in Athens, then at a film and television school and at a drama school, and also studied in London. On Greek television he has fronted the show Cinélthete, built around cinema, and he keeps a parallel output on his own channel, where sets and sketches reach the audience that does not watch broadcast television.
