Stand-up comedian from India ๐ฎ๐ณ
About Badava Gopi
Badava Gopi, born Gopinath in Chennai, built his career out of voices. He works as a mimicry artist as well as a stand-up comedian, and before the film offers came he was a radio jockey and host with Hello FM and Radio City. A show he performed exclusively for Abdul Kalam brought him wide praise.
His name is tied to an early attempt to give stand-up a home in Tamil. King Queen Jack, a television show from 2007, is credited as the first stand-up comedy show in the language. On the big screen he started with Poi, and his Tamil film credits include Chennai 600028, Nimirndhu Nil and Maanaadu.
Cricket gave that voice another outlet. He has called matches as a commentator for the Celebrity Cricket League and the Tamil Nadu Premier League, and he played a cricket commentator on screen as well.
