Ganesh Kashyap

Ganesh Kashyap is a Kannada-language stand-up comedian based in Bengaluru, recognised for his recurring comic persona Beedhi Basava, a character who denies whatever the world assumes to be true. He performs regularly at Bengaluru comedy venues, including the Just BLR Comedy Club, and is part of the wider Kannada stand-up circuit built around collectives such as Tharle Box, which showcases multiple Kannada comedians' material online. His sets cover everyday Bangalore life, relationships and social observations, delivered with a distinctly local Kannada comic sensibility, and he has released stand-up bits with titles such as Punyakoti (The Real) and Not Bengaluru?. Kashyap maintains his own YouTube channel where he posts stand-up sets, short-form comedy clips and podcast-style content, contributing to the growing online audience for Kannada stand-up comedy.
