About Jimmy Moses
Jimmy Moses Janumala learned comedy close to home. With his elder brother Johnny Lever as a mentor, he read a great many books by humour writers to understand how jokes work, started out doing mimicry at festivals in his own neighbourhood and moved on from there to proper shows. Impressions and stand-up remain the heart of his act, and he also works as a playback singer.
Film roles have come alongside the live work. He appeared in Ghaath, Krazzy 4 and Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3, played a truck driver in Chennai Express and an assistant coach in Soorma. Television brought him to wider comedy audiences through The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Circus Teen Ka Tadka, Comedy Nights With Kapil and Comedy Dangal, among other programmes.
His stage act has travelled on world tours with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, and on another with Sonu Nigam, and he plays corporate and public shows in many parts of the world.
