Mallika Dua
Stand-up comedian from India ๐ฎ๐ณ
About Mallika Dua
Mallika Dua studied theatre at Franklin and Marshall College and started her working life in advertising. Comedy took over through the internet: her Sarojini Nagar video, which she wrote, styled and performed and which drew on familiar Delhi stereotypes, spread widely, and she moved to Mumbai to work in entertainment.
A large share of what followed was made for digital platforms. She acted in the Bindass web series The Trip, made videos with AIB, fronted Midnight Misadventures with Mallika Dua on TLC and appeared in the Hotstar version of The Office. On television she was a mentor on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge on StarPlus, together with Zakir Khan and Hussain Dalal, with Akshay Kumar as judge. Later streaming work includes LOL: Hasse Toh Phasse on Amazon Prime Video and Comedy Premium League on Netflix, and her film parts include Hindi Medium, Namaste England, Zero and Indoo Ki Jawani.
