Mandar Bhide

Mandar Bhide is a multi-lingual stand-up comedian who, according to his own website, is based in Pune and has been a leading figure in Marathi-language stand-up comedy since around 2017. He performs in four languages: English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati, and is described as India's only comedian working across all four. He has an engineering background and an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai, and worked in corporate sales for roughly a decade before moving into comedy full time. His material draws on the everyday nuances of family life, corporate culture and neighbourhood relationships, and corporate shows are a particular specialty. Bhide has performed more than 800 shows in India and abroad, including a solo international tour spanning 13 countries across 5 continents, a scale of touring he is described as being the only Marathi-language comedian to have achieved. His corporate clients have included Google, Tata, Volkswagen, ITC and HDFC. Beyond live stand-up, he made his television debut on Sony SAB TV's 'Good Night India' and has appeared in web series and TV commercials.
