About Mervyn Rozz
Mervyn Rozz (born Mervyn Rozario) is an Indian stand-up comedian based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, who performs primarily in Tamil. He entered comedy through open mics in 2016 and quit his day job the following year, in 2017, to work as a full-time stand-up comedian. He is associated with Evam Standup Tamasha, one of South India's largest stand-up platforms.
Rozz is known for a spontaneous performance style built around quick wit, observational humour, and relatable storytelling. His solo specials include "Mervyn Rozz Moving On" and "Mervyn Rozz On Arrival," the latter drawing on his 2024 international travels across Australia, England, and parts of Europe. He also performed "Oru Time Pakalam," a two-person show with fellow comedian Jagan Krishnan that toured across India and Kuala Lumpur.
Beyond live comedy, Rozz was part of the writers' room for "Super Senior Heroes," the directorial debut feature of comedian Karthik Kumar, contributing to the screenplay of the comedy film.
