Pavan Venugopal

Pavan Venugopal is a Bengaluru-based stand-up comedian, anchor and YouTuber who performs Kannada and English comedy. In 2015-16 he was one of six corporate professionals, alongside Anup Maiya, Sudarshan Rangaprasad, Karthik Pattar, Seema Rao and Hampa Kumar Angadi, who founded Lolbagh, described as the city's first all-Kannada stand-up comedy team, named after Bengaluru's Lal Bagh botanical garden. His stand-up sets cover subjects such as dating in Bengaluru, software industry life and middle-class Bangalorean identity, delivered in a mix of Kannada and English suited to the city's bilingual audiences. Videos of his performances, including the hour-long special Carrot Halwa and recorded crowd-work sets from shows in Koramangala, are released through Lolbagh's online channels. Beyond the collective, he also headlines solo ticketed shows billed as "Pavan Venugopal Live" and promoted as "Kannada's OG comedian". Alongside stand-up, Pavan works as an anchor, and he continues to perform live Kannada-language comedy at Bengaluru clubs and tour nationally, remaining active into 2026.
