Pushkar Bendre

Pushkar Bendre is an Indian stand-up comedian born in Nashik, Maharashtra, who performs Marathi-language stand-up comedy. An MBA and engineer by qualification, he arrived on the comedy scene by winning a series of comedy competitions in Pune and Mumbai and is considered one of Pune's stand-up comics, despite having lived in several other Indian cities including Indore, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. He runs his own YouTube channel under his name, where he regularly posts solo stand-up sets such as "Buddhe" and "Traffic aur Vroom Vroom", and maintains an active Instagram presence alongside it. His material has included collaborative sets with fellow Marathi comedians, such as a joint stand-up video on life during the Indian COVID-19 lockdown performed together with comedian Fatima Ayesha. Bendre is counted among the newer generation of performers who built a following through the Pune and Mumbai-based Marathi stand-up circuit that grew rapidly on YouTube and Instagram in the late 2010s.
