About Radhika Vaz
Radhika Vaz came to comedy from advertising. After working as an advertising executive in Chennai and completing a master's degree in the field at Syracuse University, she found her way onto the stage through improvisation, training at the Groundlings School in Los Angeles and at Improvolution in New York.
In 2014 she took her stand-up act Older. Angrier. Hairier to New York and to a string of Indian cities: Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi, Gurgaon and Delhi. She has named Patrice O'Neal and Bill Hicks as the comedians who inspired that show. Her stage work also includes the play Unladylike: The Pitfalls of Propriety.
Writing runs through the rest of her output. She has written a column for The Times of India, and together with Nadia P. Manzoor she created the web series Shugs & Fats, which won a Gotham Award.
