Rivu Ganguly

Rivu Ganguly is an Indian stand-up comedian, writer and voice-over artist based in Kolkata and associated with Kalkutta Komedians, one of the city's original stand-up comedy groups, started in late 2012 by Raouf Gangjee as part of the nationwide Komedians network. Described in interviews as a star performer of the Bengali comedy scene, he left a regular job to focus on comedy, writing and performing material drawn from everyday family experiences and personal observations rather than topical or political humour. An economics graduate, he built his stage craft through Kolkata's open mic circuit, testing jokes live before developing them into full bits. Alongside stand-up he works as a general content creator, gamer and aspiring streamer, and maintains an active YouTube channel and an Instagram following of more than 47,000 under his own name, where he shares comedy content and updates on his live shows.
