About Sejal Bhat
Sejal Bhat is an Indian stand-up comedian born in Mumbai to a Kashmiri Pandit family; her father's banking career meant the family moved frequently, and she has lived in numerous Indian states. She is fluent in Hindi, English, Tamil and Kashmiri. After completing her degree in 2013 she worked for two years as an Asset Management Analyst for Goldman Sachs in Bangalore, then became managing editor of an agriculture magazine in 2016. In 2017 she auditioned for Comicstaan on Amazon Prime Video and reached the top ten finalists with her wit and stage presence. She has since performed stand-up shows across India, building a following with videos such as The Chaddi Story and Bollywood and Copying, which have drawn over a million views, and co-founded Anderooni, a women-only space for performing arts. Her comedy blends personal anecdotes with observational and social commentary on relationships, everyday life and social norms, delivered with sharp, self-deprecating humor.
