Shashi Dhiman

Shashi Dhiman (born 1995) is an Indian stand-up comedian from Chandigarh. Before entering comedy, she worked as a pharmaceutical scientist, and she began performing stand-up around 2019 while developing her material at open mics. In 2020 she relocated to Mumbai to pursue comedy full time, a common step for performers seeking to establish themselves within India's national comedy circuit.

Dhiman has been recognised as one of the rising voices in the Indian stand-up scene. She has toured across India with solo material, including the show "Pannu Yaar," performing in cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Her later sets draw on themes including marriage, relationships and social expectations.

Her comedy is characterised by observational and crowd-work material delivered with a distinct Punjabi inflection, often addressing everyday experiences, stereotypes and womanhood. She also maintains a YouTube channel, launched in January 2019, on which she publishes recordings of her solo stand-up performances.
