About Sumit Anand
Sumit Anand, born in Rohtak in 1985, has been doing stand-up since 2013 and works in English. His material mixes observation with longer stories, delivered deadpan.
His own website introduces him as a stand-up comic and honest writer, and next to a page of stand-up videos it collects essays on relationships, society and travel. Some of those posts follow his act abroad. One describes a King Gong night at The Comedy Store in London, where the audience can gong a comic off at any moment and where he fell two seconds short of lasting five minutes; another looks back on a run of shows at the Melbourne comedy festival, which he took as a push to write better jokes.
