About Urjita Wani
Urjita Wani is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian and writer who performs primarily in Hindi. She was studying mass media at KC College in Mumbai when Comedy Ladder founder Jeeya Sethi encouraged her into open mics around 2018, and she has since built material that moves past typical relationship jokes into observational sets on money, caste and cultural fault lines. Alongside touring, she has written for streaming platforms including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Flipkart, Zee and Voot, and is a co-writer on the sketch show Bingo Comedy Adda 2. She co-hosts the IVM Podcast Network show Has It Aged Well?, and has been named a winner of Femapalooza, an all-women stand-up showcase. She was featured in DeadAnt's Next Big Thing series as one of the Indian circuit's rising names, praised for sharp writing and a stage presence that grew more assured with each performance.
