About Vamsidhar Bhogaraju
Vamsidhar Bhogaraju is a stand-up comedian and actor based in Bengaluru who performs primarily in English with Kannada comedy woven into his sets. He resigned from a job as a brand manager in the lingerie manufacturing industry after a friend signed him up for the Punchline stand-up comedy competition in 2013, where he reached the final round and decided to pursue comedy seriously. Since then he has shared stages with comedians including Suresh Menon, Sundeep Rao, Biswa Kalyan Rath and Kanan Gill, performing across Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad. He appeared on NDTV's Rising Stars of Comedy with a set called Bad Name and has given a TEDx talk, Excelling At What We Dislike, at TEDxSIULavale. Vamsidhar is also known for a comic persona called Riksha Ranga, through which he teaches Kannada phrases to non-Kannadiga audiences using comedy, and has appeared as an actor in Kannada films including Humble Politician Nograj.
