About Abdur Arsyad
Abdur Arsyad was born in Kupang, in East Nusa Tenggara, and found his way to comedy through a local community rather than a club. In May 2012 a member of Stand Up Indo Malang invited him to join the group, and within two years he was on national television: in the fourth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV he reached the grand final against David Nurbianto and finished as runner-up.
Since then he has divided his time between solo stand-up shows and film. His stage productions include Re-write, Pahlawan Perlu Tanda Jasa, Black Camping and Kontras. As an actor he played Vincent in Cek Toko Sebelah and Yos in Susah Sinyal and appeared in Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap, and as a screenwriter he wrote the script for Kejar Mimpi Gaspol!.
