Adjis Doaibu

Abdul Aziz Batubara, born 3 May 1988, better known by his stage name Adjis Doaibu, is an Indonesian actor, comedian and presenter. He graduated with a degree in Television and Film from Institut Kesenian Jakarta.

His stage name was obtained by accident. In 2006, Adjis was asked to host a music event titled We Are Pop. At that time, the event organisers contacted him by phone and asked for his full name, and the name Abdul Aziz was considered too "serious" for the event. Adjis, who was then on the phone by the side of the road, saw a truck passing by with the words "Doa Ibu" written on it, which inspired him to use the name "Adjis Doaibu", which he has kept to this day.

In 2011, Adjis took part in the first Street Comedy Indonesia competition held in the city of Bekasi and won the title of champion. That victory led him to the stage of Stand Up Comedy Show Metro TV and opened the door wide to his career, not only in stand-up comedy but also in film. In 2019, Adjis was chosen as the executive chairman of the Stand Up Indo community, replacing Awwe, who had held the position for two terms and was his fellow stand-up comedian from Bekasi. His television work includes Newshow (MetroTV, 2013-2014), Wow Banget (Trans7, 2019), Wadidaw (SCTV, 2020), Padi Reborn: Sang Penghibur (NET., 2020), RT 5 (NET., 2021-2022), Cross Check! (iNews, 2022), Celebrity Trofeo Cup (SCTV, 2023) and Arisan (Trans7, 2024).
